Bud Rank Elementary declares Wilson Homes and Wathen-Castanos, Inc. Appreciation Day
On Nov. 2, more than 300 students, parents, District employees and Directors for the Foundation for Clovis Schools gathered in the Bud Rank Elementary School Multi-Purpose Room to show appreciation for a very generous $50,000 donation from Wilson Homes and Wathen-Castanos, Inc. The donation to the Foundation for Clovis Schools provided library books for the new campus. Students showed their enthusiasm by dressing as characters from their favorite books. Principal Sylvia Borges and Student Body President Zak Johnson presented Leo Wilson and Kevin Castanos with a book filled with thank you letters written by students. The Foundation for Clovis Schools presented both companies with replicas of the bronze plaque placed at the library entrance acknowledging both companies for their generosity in filling library shelves with books.
